A large sail-boat is seen gliding along a river. Sail-boats have been used to transport cargo from place to place along the rivers and on the coastal seas. In the past these boats did not have engines and their travel routes depend on the winds and thus the time of the year. The sailors sometimes had to row the large paddles to move the boat. Nowadays almost all the large boats have their own propellers driven by diesel engines. |
