Maymyo botanical garden is located in Pyin Oo Lwin (also called Maymyo) town of Mandalay division. The garden
covers an area of 344.81 acres. It was established in 1915.
Access
Yangon via Manadalay to Pyin Oo Lwin, 472 miles (755 km) by car.
Yangon to Mandalay, 400 miles (640 km) by air and Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin, 42 miles (67 km) by car.
Objectives
To serve as a recreation center for the public.
To carry out educational activities related to conservation of trees and forests so that people will become interested and appreciate the values of trees and flowers.

To collect and reproduce rare and endangered plant species for their perpetual existence, conduct research activities and assist the development of ecotourism industry.
