Ayeyarwaddy confluence point

This is the place where Ayeyarwaddy river starts. Ayeyarwaddy is formed by two tributaries: Maykha and Malikha both originate at the Khakaborazi highland at the northernmost part of Myanmar in Kachin state. This very scenic spot could be reached via 45km car road from Myitkyina. Ayeyarwaddy is the most famous and useful river in Myanmar. It is urgently necessary to properly manage and maintain the forests in the highlands ( and everywhere ) to keep save the rivers from drying out.
