Flooding in Yangon in August 2012
Flooding in eastern and south-eastern city ares of Yangon in late August 2012.
Development without a proper planning, lack of green areas and disaster management and good education,
carelessness of some peoples make Yangon not becoming a very healthy community.
Drainages have been blocked and choked. There is no proper drainage system too.
More construction works, more population are coming into the city.
Hopefully things will change and we need to be careful at least not to contribute to making the city
even more unhealthy. We must work to help create proper health and education for all citizens in
Myanmar.
