Trip reports - Hiking, camping to snow covered mountain in Putao Putao & Myitkyina in Kachin state (08 - 20 Dec 2009)

Mulashidi suspension bridge over Malikha river After 2 more nights stay in Khakaborazi guesthouse (rustic and lower than tourist quality accommodation at the time of our visit) and tours around Putao we took Air Bagan flight to Myitkyina - the capital of Kachin state. The town centre where the market, several guesthouses & train station are is dusty, filthy and crowded. But we were able to check emails and browse the world wide web at Internet shops. From Myitkyina there are roads to border check points with China. We saw Chinese cars in the town.
